"Karen’s art was incredible: She converted an otherwise ordinary downtown apartment into a mock museum of modernism, in which every object, whether decorative or functional, deserved exploration. The food, though of course more challenging since it had to appeal to at least four senses, was interesting in the best possible sense of the word. (I mean, how can you rate a bubble gum infusion served in a dropper?) Some of it was even delicious; all of it was amusing. "
